Married:
- According to Arnold Lipkind, Annie's (Chave's) grandson, the family was originally from "European Russia" and were uprooted and relocated to the Sea of Azov (in the Ukraine) when she was a girl. Louis (Herschal) states on his WWI draft registration that he was born in Berdyansk. It sounds like in the late 1880's they may have been relocated from Lithuania to the Ukraine when Russia was establishing the "agricultural colonies" in that area. Also, some the Lifschitz children married Lithuanian Jews.
(note: transcriptions from Ellis Island passenger records are full of errors on names and locations. The "last residence" for the records below is present day Berdyansk, Ukraine, on the Sea of Azov)
