\par Louis C. VanHook
\par STANFORD - Louis C. VanHook, 88, of McKinney Court died Saturday at home.
\par Born Dec. 30, 1909, in Pulaski County, he was a son of the late Oscar and Esther Price VanHook. He was retired after working 30 years with Local No. 452 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union in Lexington. He belonged to Stanford Baptist Church, Lincoln Lodge No. 60, F&AM, and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
\par Survivors include his wife Ophelia Spires VanHook; a son, Bob VanHook of Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, Sharon Kayes of Atlanta and Pat Hardin of Lexington; four brothers, Russell VanHook of Beech Grove, Ind., Ralph VanHook of Scottsville and Sam and J.C. VanHook, both of Lexington; two sisters, Ann Nichols of Danville and Nell Sprinkles of Orlando, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
\par The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home by the Rev. Tim Boschen. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
\par Pallbearers will be Ryan VanHook, Kevin Kayes, Ronnie Lawrence, Otis Cave, Jerry and Larry Mullins. Honorary pallbearers will be ushers of Stanford Baptist Church.
\par Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today. Masonic services will be 8 p.m. today by Lincoln Lodge No. 60, F&AM.
\par Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice of Danville or American Cancer Society.
